“Multispec” (or Multi-Spec) resurfacing is a specific type of decorative, spray-applied flecked/stone-look coating used to resurface existing countertops (kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bar, etc.) instead of tearing them out and replacing them with granite, quartz, or a laminate like formica.
It gives the countertop a speckled, granite-like or flecked appearance using a water-based paint that contains tiny colored chips (flecks).
Then a protective high gloss finish is applied covering the top of the Multispec.
Mutlispec can be applied to multiple different surfaces like tile walls or a backsplash for example but is most common applied to countertops and one piece vanity/sink.
